New Edition... Sunday Stunners ♥

Mila Kunis ♥

Gosh she's so so pretty.
Probably best known for her roles in Forgetting Sarah Marshal and her latest role of Lily in Black Swan (which you must see if you haven't, AMAZING) I think this girl just oozes style. I think she's defiantly one of the prettiest actresses in hollywood, even though she isn't that well known, but she really does deserve some more attention.
She's just lovely.
I went to see Black Swan on Wednesday with Pete, and I honestly thought it could possibly be film of the year. Both Mila and Natalie Portman give outstanding performances and the film is just beautiful to watch. It's slightly on the dark side so don't go thinking that your just going to watch a girly little film about ballet because you really couldn't be more wrong.
But yeah i'm not going to say any more incase I give anything away, you just have to see it. And it's made me want to buy a ballet skirt really bad. It's on my to do list !

Pack Up Your Troubles in Your Old Kit Bag.

I think this is now one of my favourite tops. I love love love love it. It's one of those things where you can wear it to so many places. You can dress it down with a little skirt, leggings and boots, or you could dress it up with a little skirt, tights and a nice pair of heals. It's quite a strange material. But I don't mind about things like that, if it looks nice then I'll have it.
The fact that I got it in the sale only makes it better. I was a very happy bunny.

It's been my first week back to uni this week, so my schedule has officially been taken up by lectures, seminars and workshops, my modules for the semester are 20th century performance and shakespeare in performance, believe it or not but I am infact a bit of a shakespeare geek, i've been reading his plays since I was 13 and I've fallen in love with a hell of a lot of them. Nerd, I know.

I was browsing through some blogs and their comments the other day, and was seriously shocked by the amount of hate some bloggers have been recieveing. I understand that not everyone can like things that people will post on blogs but come on, if you don't like it then either don't visit the blog again or just ignore it, theres no need to post millions of comments slating the blogger to death, it's ridiculous, i'm sure that some people have nothing better to do with their time than to poke faults at others.
Luckily i've never had anything like that on my blog, but it really did surprise me how nasty some people were being.
I bet you now i've said that i'll have someone having a go at me !

Ooooo forgot to tell you all, i've put my deposit down on a new flat for next year, i'm so excited, it's alot of money and I can't really afford it but I looked around, ran back and forth in my head and then finally just decided there was no better option. So deposit paid. I cannot wait. I'm obviously still moving in with Pete but i'm also moving in with my friend Naomi off my course. Woo woo woo. Let's celebrate.

I've Got Some Real Estate Here In My Bag.

It's all ok and back to normal, I'm officially back from Wales and ready to blog blog blog.
Well I actually got back last night, but it was late and I had to get ready for University, and then today i've had none stop lectures, seminars and workshops all day long 9 till 5, not had a second to breath let alone post. But yeah, it was a lovely weekend, didn't do much just lazed about all cosey and relaxed, did go out for a few lovely meals though with Pete and his family. Nom nom nom.
Any way enough with my waffling.

I LOVE this jumper, it makes me so happy. I'm not going to lie, I actually spotted it first on another blog, Cats and Rocking Chairs to be precise, which is pne of my favourite new blogs. It was on one of her early posts and I loved it as soon as I saw it, presuming of course that it wouldn't be in stock any more, so I put it to the back of my mind as to not tease myself, but then the next week whilst rummaging through H&M what do I find, the same absolutely gorgeously chic jumper.
As you may be able to tell i was a very happy bunny !
H&M I ♥ you

Ooooo comment away or Formspring me. I always love to hear from you all.

He Was a Star Collector, She Knew About The Skies.

I love this necklace, it's reasonably new I got it over the January sales from Urban Outfitters, It's the Aries star sign Symbol, but it's oh so pretty. I'm never usually into that whole astrology thing, I occasionally read the odd horoscope for a laugh but never take them seriously, but when I saw this necklace I had to have it. And it was in the sale for a mere £5. So why not eh?

Just letting you know this will probably be my last post of the week. I'm not slacking or being lazy, but i'm going down to Wales with my boyfriend Pete again for the weekend, so I doubt i'll have a chance to blog. But don't worry, i'll be back on monday or tuesday with another outfit post. I'm a determined little blogger and attempting to keep my self organised as well as committed.

Any way have a lovely weekend, I'm sure I will. Comment away, I always love to hear from you all, and again any questions formspring me in my right sidebar.

A Girl Who Makes Potions In a Travelling Show.

Has anyone noticed my sudden reoccuring theme for my blog titles.
It's just a little idea I had to include a specific songs lyrics as my title. I love music and it's a big thing for me to constantly find new songs, I listen to every thing so I'll put the title and artist at the bottom of each post.

How is everyone? I've not posted in a few days, been a busy little bee, I'm officially back in Lincoln, Which is good is some ways, It's amazing being back with Pete, I absolutely love living with him, but it's weird to be away from mum and dad, I just miss sitting on my big chair in our living room waffling on to them about anything.

Anyway Anyway Anyway, not wanting to bore you with my life! I absolutely love this blouse. I've had it for a few months now bought it from newlook, but never posted it, It's so pretty in my opinion. I love the colour and floral pattern of it. Makes me feel extremely pretty and girly. I think it's great as well as you can mix and match it for any time, sometimes I just wear it around the house or go shopping, but once I wore in on a night out, dressed it up a little with some accessories and shoes. Love it. What do you think?
Comment away or formspring me with questions.

My Heart Is B-beating Double Time.

In all honesty I really don't have that much to say tonight.
I know it's a slight cliche because i'm lay here typing away but I really don't.
I went into town two days in a row, today and yesterday to clarify. Bought slightly more than I intended to but I still did quite good for me.
Two pairs of boots, a little makeup, 2 jumpers and one t shirt.
Too be honest there some of my best buys in a long time.
The jumper i'm wearing in this post is one of them, so comfy, so practical and it goes with absolutely loads.

Any way, I know this is really brief but it's late and i'm in need of a skype date with the lovely boyf, i'm just missing him way too much.
Don't forget comment away.
Any any questions formspring me in the right side bar.

B is for Bling.

Right I know i'm always waffling on about how amazing my accessories/bags/rings/scarfs and so on collections are, but a very rarely post any photos of them.
The extremely important thing to remember is that at the moment I am currently home for christmas so I only a a small amount of things to take photos of, because I left most of my jewellery back at mine and Petes flat in Lincoln.
So yeah.
Heres just a quick look at a few of the accessories that I bought back with my.
The B that is in the top picture was a present off my mum for christmas, it's from Urban Outfitters and i've wanted one for ages. But yeah I thought it would make the most perfect earing holder. I just love it. Makes everything look oh so pretty !
This bag is new as well. I love the kind off vintage satchel look that it has about it, but the colour is just devine and it's only from H&M as you might have guessed when I saw it I just couldn't say no.

Most of my necklaces are from Accessorize. And my rings are usually from either Tophop or Accessorize again. If there is a particular piece that you want to know where I got it from necklace/earing/bracelet, then just ask me either in the comments below. Or any questions in general then I have my formspring box in the right sidebar.
Enjoy the Sparkles.

I Am a Radar Detector,

I know this outfit is farely simple but to be honest it's one of my favourite outfits i've put together in a long time.
I love this tunic that I got from topshop, I've had it for a while now, when I first bought it I wasn't that sure about how much I would wear it but it's actually become one of my key pieces. I adore the little details of it, the scalloped lining, and the little frilled trim. I just love it. These are some new tights I got as well, their just cable knit patterned, slate grey from Marks and Spencers, surprisingly. I just ran in with my mum saw them and thought Ooooo their actually quite nice.
And then theres obviously my trusty river Island cardigan that i've had for two years, and just can't bring myself to get rid off. It was my first expensive buy after I got my first job, sentimental right.

Whats everyone been up to then?
I've been really lazy over these past few days.
I did go to town on wednesday, Orange wednesdays win win !
I went to see that Love and Other Drugs, with Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhall, Yum Yum. It was actually quite good, I was expecting it to be the usual sickly sweet chick flick, all full of cute lines and giggling girls, but it was actually alot darker than I expected. I have to admit it, I did cry, like a big girl. You should go and see it if you get a chance.
And if you don't like the film, you can always just spend a couple of hours drooling over Jakey boy.

My boyfriend is going back to our flat today without me, I'm quite gutted, I miss living with him, being without him over christmas has been hard. A week today though and i'll be back in good old Lincoln.

Oh and don't forget I love to read all your thoughts and gossip so comment.
And if you have any questions I have my formspring box in the right sidebar.

Blogger Interview : Tieka from Selective Potential.

One thing that I have always wanted to encorporate into my blog, was interviews with other successful bloggers. However I was always unsure about how to approach this or how both bloggers and readers alike would react to it. In the end I thought why not and just went for it.

My first blogger interview is with the wonderful, creative and stunning Tieka from Selective Potential. If you haven't come across her blog before then you really are missing out. I've been reading Tieka's blog since I first came across fashion blogs, and she really has been a huge inspiration to me. I love the way she encorporates both amazing fashion style and ideas with details and adventures from her own life. I find that Tieka's blog is alot more personal than most. When reading her blog you almost feel like she's talking directly to you, telling you about an exciting trip she went on or about why she wanted to wear this or that. In my opinion she really is one of the best bloggers of the moment.
So don't forget, if you read this interview and like what you hear as well as what you see, which i'm sure you will, you really need to head over to her blog. Which again, is Selective Potential.

1. How would you best describe your blog and your style?

I’d say I’m very girly with feminine florals, but with a rocker edge. I love mixing the two looks! But I’d definitely say I fit to match my surroundings. A ship tour? I’m dressed nautically. A picnic in a field? I’m dressed in florals. A downtown concert? I’m in lace up boots and a lace dress. It all depends! Selective Potential is a place where I talk all about my own personal style, my marriage, trips we take, adventures we have and I also talk a lot about Michigan. I like to show people how amazing any place can be if you make the most of it!

2. You've been working on your blog for some time and clearly put alot of time and effort into it, but how did you first get involved in blogging?

I started blogging in September 2009 after I fell in love with fashion. I had just lost 35 pounds and was so inspired by the ways I could dress my "new body". I finally started to like the way clothes looked and I loved experimenting and finding new ways to dress without spending a crazy amount of money, because I basically needed a whole new wardrobe. I looked online and stumbled across an article by WhoWhatWear that featured four fashion bloggers. It was all downhill from there. I was in love.

3. What is your must have item in your wardrobe?

I adore sleeved dresses. I can't imagine my closet without them. I wear them in every season! I also can't imagine my closet without lace up boots, chunky belts and cardigans. You can mix and match those in a million different ways.
My absolute must have item currently in my closet are my Jeffrey Campbell lace-up boots. I love them too much.

4. Some say that you have to spend alot of money on clothes to look fashionable, is this something you agree with or do you love to go hunting for a good old bargain?

Absolutely not! When I first started blogging, I thrifted so many of my clothes! I also read so many blogs of girls who buy thrifted items more than regular-priced items - and I adore their style so much. It's all about being creative - not about how much money you have. Hunting for a great bargain is one of the things I love to do most!

5. Readers of your blog will know that your husband Brett helps you alot in terms of your photographs. Is this something that the two of you enjoy doing together?

Absolutely! Brett and I have so much fun taking the photos for my blog together. It has definitely been an adventure together and it's so fun to look back at all of my posts and imagine Brett behind the camera in every one of them. All of the fun adventures on my blog, we've done it all together. We usually plan a little trip out of it and it's caused us to go places and do things we wouldn't have done if it weren't for the blog!

6. As a blogger based in the UK, I envy the amount of times you girls in America get together. Would you encourage bloggers getting together more often?

Oh gosh, I can't stress enough how much fun it is to get together with other bloggers and just talk fashion, blogging, outfit posts, everything! It's so fun to connect with girls who know what an "outfit shot" is or know the blogging trends and names you're talking about. I've met some of my best friends through blogging and blogger meet-ups. It's my favorite thing about blogging - the community and the girls I've met - so yes, I would so encourage bloggers to get together, no matter where you live!

7. Do you enjoy reading other fashion blogs, any imparticular?

I'm constantly reading other fashion blogs - I spend at least 10 hours a week on my Bloglovin roll! I really adore Delightfully Tacky, Jen Loves Kev, Orchid Grey - all of the girls in the Delightful Dozen. Some of my other favorites are - Flashes of Style, Le Blog de Betty, Bonjour Bbydoll... oh gosh, too many favorites to name!

8. Who or what inspires your fashion choices?

I'm definitely inspired by my surroundings! I love dressing to match a season or a place I'm going. I love to look out the window and gain inspiration from flowers, or autumn colors, or wintry settings, whatever it may be. I'm also really inspired by so many girls in the blogging community whose blogs I read on a daily basis. I feel like they are all real girls and if they tried something - and it looks wonderful on them - I could try it too!

9. Speaking of inspirations, alot of girls who read blogs look up to you as a role model and someone who inspires them, how does this make you feel?

Amazing. I never thought I would inspire so many girls and I'm constantly overwhelmed on a daily basis at how wonderful all of my readers are. The fact that I'm just doing what makes me happy and it inspires others is just a wonderful thing. It actually re-inspires me to keep up the life I've been leading. ;)

10. If you had to give one piece of advice to other fashion bloggers what would it be?

Be yourself! Find your niche and run with it. Take whatever element makes you unique and use it to your advantage. Everybody loves to read about my quirky Michigan trips and little tidbits with my husband and they are things I never thought readers would be interested in! It's fun to come across a blog where you feel like you know the person, like they're your best friend and you're just catching up with them. Be real, be yourself. It's all you can do - and have fun with it.

Dreaming of You.

So then the first outfit post of 2011..
How about it, what an occasion. Sorry I haven't posted in the last few days lovely's, i've been a busy bee as my boyfriend came down to visit me sunday till tuesday. He lives in Wales and i'm an English girl, with it being christmas hols we're both home from uni and hadn't seen each other in three weeks, so he came up to manchester to visit. I had such a lovely few days, it was so nice.

This outfit isn't something that I think I would wear all the time. I found this top in the Topshop sale, I fell in love with the print and when I put it on, I thought it had quite a vintage feel to it. So I bought it. I think it was either £15 or £19 in the sale, if i'm being honest with you I can't quite remember exactly how much it was, but yeah I thought why not.
I just teamed it with a legging and fitted bodycon skirt.
I love simple outfits, that have one statement piece.
Whats the thoughts on it? Do share.
And remember any questions then go to my formspring question box in the right side bar.

How About It, The Big 2.0.1.1.

Just a quick look back at what I think is my 12 favourite outfit posts from 2010.
Theres are right mixture here.
I have outfits from summer, spring, autumn, winter.
As you can see I have quite a mixture of clothing, sometimes I like layers, sometimes i like summery dresses. I just can't make my mind up on my staple style.
I don't suppose I have to though, I love wardrobes to show a nice eclectic mix, it's a translation of a persons personality.
So what do you all think? Do you have a specific one you like, or something that you think I should do more off. I love hearing your thoughts, just comment. Oh and if you have any questions to ask me i've added a new formspring box to the side bar on the right.
Hope your all having a lovely new year.
I can't wait to blog more for you all in 2011.
