Sunday Stunners ... Week5

Rachel Bilson ♥

I am such a happy bunny right now.
As said in my last post, i've had so so so much university work on at the moment, a performance of Hamlet to put on in less than a week, so i'm rehearsing all the time, like some kind of crazy woman, walking around my flat quoting Shakespeare like every second of the day. As well as that i've got two huge essays, which I will proudly shout from the rooftops that I have finally completed. Finished them this afternoon infact. Woop woop woop.
That means that I can officially go back to Manchester for a few days on wednesday, and hopefully get my hair done whilst i'm there. Fingers crossed.

Anyway anyway anyway Rachel Bilson.
Opinions please?
I think she's totally underated. Her style is so chic, and she always looks a million dollars. She's not done any films for a while though ... watch this space I guess.
Very pretty girl.

A Moment, A Love, A Dream Aloud.

I'm sorry. Thats all I can say, I told you I was going to keep up with the outdoor outfit shots and I honestly did mean it, but the weather outside is still completely terrible and I thought an indoor outfit shot is better than none at all, so here we are.
It's not anything terribly exciting, I didn't leave the flat today, just had some friends round for a rehearsal so I thought something comfy that a can move around without looking like an unstylish slob.
So here we are.
I love these colours together, what do you think.

Anyway I'm now completely on my own, Petes left to go back to Wales for just over a week, 1o days to be exact. Yes i'm counting down.
I hate being here without him, the flats just so quiet, even if he's in his room and i'm in mine I always bob my head round the door and see his little feet poking off the end of the bed, I know i'm a complete geek. But I can't help it.
This week is going to be horrible. It might be made a little better if I end up getting my huge amount of essays finished so I can make a trip home to Manchester for a couple of days. Fingers crossed.
How is anyone anyway?

Ooooo did anyone notice that I finally made Faint Hearted Sparrow a "Like" button for facebook. It's just under my contact section so if you like me then please Like me ! That sounds funny. But yeah, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks lovely's.

It Gives Me Thrills To Wind You Up.

So yeah we still have crappy weather, I'm not lying it's pure miserable out there and cold and it's making me all depressed. I much more of a summer person, even though I think I dress better in the winter, but ah well. I'll get over it.
These are just some quick snaps that I got last night, Pete studies media and photography at uni, and his new project is photos drawing with light. So i've been his artist for the drawings ! I think i've actually found a new talent, he's a bloody fussy bugger and had me doing it for hours though, when I went to bed all I could see were strobe lights. I'll try and post a few examples of them on here if he lets me. Ohhhh, no joke of a lie he's just put it on a memory stick and uploaded it to my laptop for me ! Woop. I will put it up at the bottom, it's only my name but hey !

Big stress at the moment, I have exactly a week tomorrow to put on a performance of Hamlet and write two essays. Can I just ask how the hell am I suppossed to do that. I have no idea. Work Work Work, after this post I plan to learn lines for a good couple of hours and then more later. Its rubbish.
And Pete goes back to Wales on Thursday for just over a week, without me. Because I have this damn performance ... very sad.

Anyway you don't want to listen to my moaning.
Whats everyones opinion on fur coats ?
Let me know.
I'll finish on something fashion based.

Sunday Stunners ... Week4.

Sienna Miller ♥

Sorry I haven't done an outfit post this week. It's been one of those weeks where you keep planning to do a shoot everyday and then you wake up, look out of the window and it's really miserable, cloudy, windy, rainy. Basically just rubbish photo shoot conditions.
Don't worry I really do want to do another one. Just need the weather to get on my side thats all.

I really want a hair cut so bad. I love my hair, not sounding vain or anything but it's like my favourite thing about me, I can do so many things with it and it's so thick and I like the colour, i'm just kind of obsessively protective over it. When I was 15/16 I had to worst hair cut ever. I asked her to do it choppy layers, instead she practically cut all of my hair off and gave me the shortest layers imaginable, nightmare. Ever since then I have to splurge out on my haircuts. I.e Tony and Guy £140. I know, it was highlights as well mind due so ...

Anyway Sienna Miller, yes please. I'd happily look like her she's so so pretty and I adore her style and hair, she's always been hair inspiration for me. Lovely.
Jude Law, what an idiot.
That's all I have to say !

Send A Wish Upon A Star, Do The Work And You'll Go Far.

He got up !
I love Pete, he's the best boyfriend in the world, he finally got up out of bed and took me for a trip down to the canal and did his magic snap snap snap with his camera.
What do you think of the results, I think he did a marvelous job, there were so many to choose from but I managed to wriggle it down to my favourite five. I think these are my favourites anyway, it was a tough decision.
I love looking at all the boats here, i've lived on an average little street my whole life, with nothing interesting that near by, but now in Lincoln I have a lovely canal right behind my flat, it's so great just to watch the boats drift by.
Whilst we were taking the photos today a man went past on his long boat warning me about the risks of falling into the canal, it made me giggle. Pete got excited though because he was flying the Welsh flag from the end of his boat.
Yes Pete is Welsh, so he was a happy bunny.

So then second outdoor outfit shot in a row, are you proud of me?
I did say it would be my new years resolution, and yes I didn't try very hard with it at first but here I am making a move for the better. And I'm already planning my next shots. Set a date for a shoot with Pete for either Tuesday or Wednesday, won't be blogging tomorrow as I have a mad busy day at Uni, and then it's Carnage at the night, where millions of students go on a huge bar crawl and get catastrophically drunk.
However I am not a big drinker, and never go out, so not sure what i'll think of that, i'd much rather sit in the house all cosey with a good movie, a cup of coffee and some classic magazines, I know I lead such an exciting life. But hey that's how I like it.

I want to do a blogger meet up.
I've decided, you always hear about the fashion bloggers of America going on blogger meet ups, for example the Indie conference. Tieka from Selective Potential and Elizabeth from Delightfully Tacky are always going on them. I want to do it.
How about it all you UK lovelies?

Zooey Deschanel ♥

So have you ever met a blogger that doesn't like 500 days of summer?
Me neither.. Infact the opposite, every one i've ever heard talk about it seems to rave, I watched it so much when it first came out that I think I pretty much know it line for line.
Hmmmm what a nerd.

I've got my creative head on today and I really want to go outside and get some outdoor photographs. My locations is pretty ideal to be honest, just behind our flat is a lovely little canal, full of long boats and so on, so I really want to go and shoot my outfit, but Pete is still all curled up in bed and refusing to move, yes it's nearly 2 oclock in the afternoon and he is still in bed. Anyone know any tips for how to get boyfriends out of bed?
Don't worry, i'm a woman on a mission and will get an outfit shot today.

I would just like to say a huge thankyou to everyone who commented on my last post, as it said i'd been feeling a bit down about my blog and they all really made me feel so much better about it all. So thankyou thankyou thankyou. That's what I love about blogging, the support you can get of others, it's really uplifting.

Feeling much more chipper today my lovely's.
Hope your all having a lovely weekend.

Your Faking A Smile With A Coffee To Go.

Ok i'm not going to lie, over the last week or so i've been quite down about how my blogs been going, I don't know why, I was loosing inspiration and it was becoming more of a chore than something I enjoy doing. I used to love blogging and it was something that I got excited about creating and adding more to.
I love to read other people blogs but lately everybody seems to just have something to complain about, whether it's haters, or not being as outfit orientated and some readers might want, even successful bloggers such as Elizabeth from Delightfully Tacky has been recieving some serious moaning from readers. I think people are becoming so obsessed with how they want blogs to be, and their forgetting about the actual blogger.

A blog should be a place where a person can go to release their creative energy and talk about what they want to talk about, not what the reader wants them to talk about. Blogs are a vent for the writer to show how they feel about something. Readers really need to stop trying to get bloggers to change what they like to put on their blogs it's ridiculous.

Anyway, thats why I decided I needed a new start, not a new blog, because i'm really proud of what I have achieved when it comes to my work. But I've decided that a new name was needed. Thats why i've gone from Beccas Daydreams to Faint Hearted Sparrow. Beccas Daydreams was my first real success in the blogging world and I honestly am so proud of it, but I also feel that it didn't encompass the maturity that I wanted to portray. I think Faint Hearted Sparrow is symbolic of the challenges of the blogging world that bloggers need to overcome, plus I have a thing for birds. As many of my previous readers will know I have two bird tattoos, their my little symbol.

New start means new and better photos.
Thumbs up my lovely's I actually have an outdoor photograph for you, and this is something that I will hopefully be trying to keep up with. Fingers crossed and if my lovely Pete will keep snapping me. I'll just smile at him sweetly.
So yeah, smiles all round. What do you all think of my new blog look?

You Wanted Kissing in The Rain.

Favourite top alert, favourite top alert ! Well it's one of my favourite tops, I have quite alot so it's hard to pick, not actually wore this one in a while though, shockingly enough, it's just super comfy and it goes with absolutely everything so win win right.
It was bought on one of those days where you go out saying that your not going to buy anything and then the next thing you know you've spotted something that you really really want and must have. Shops are evil I've decided, they are so persistent in eating up my bank balance.
But I am actually quite proud of myself, not bought a new piece of clothing other than tights (i had to buy them, my other ones had ripped) since I came back to Lincoln which has been roughly about a month. Wooo go me. My mummy will be so impressed.

I've got a seminar at 4 today and I really can't be bothered going, but Pete's making me, apparently I accidently kicked him out of the bed last night so I think it's some kind of revenge scheme. Quite funny if you ask me, I have no memory of doing it, maybe I'm loosing my mind !!! Not good.
Speaking of Pete, it's are usual wednesday date night tomorrow, and we really can't decide what to go and watch at the cinema between... The Kings Speech, Hereafter and Sanctum 3D. Does anyone have any recommendations?
It's our anniversary on Friday, and then Valentines on Monday, such a cute week for us.
Happy bunny I am.

Comment me or formspring, I love chatting to you all lovelies.

Sunday Stunners ... Week2.

Carey Mulligan ♥

Ok, I know this girl might not be everybody's cup of tea but I absolutely adore her look. She's got that whole sixties chic going on, best shown in the second picture of this post, she's been compared to the likes of Twiggy, thats a compliment and a half, as well as dating the lucious Shia Labeouf, again who would complain.
So yeah I'm a fan.
Didn't help that she played the leading role in one of my favourite films of all time... An Education, where she played Jenny, set in the sixties. I love it.
If you haven't seen it then please please please try and watch it, In my opinion it's a must see.

Ok so now i've waffled, I would just like to apologise for being a bad blogger this week and only putting up one outfit shot, I would usually have done more and I was going to do one today, but sundays are now dedicated to the lovely ladies that inspire me. So yeah, sorry. I will honestly do more next week.

They Had Style They Had Grace.

Elle Collections.

I splashed out on the special Elle Collections Magazine the other day. £7.
I know as a whole not that expensive but if you think about it in the grand scheme of things £7 for a magazine is alot of money, I usually feel guilty about spending £4 on Vogue. But Ah well, it looked amazing so I thought I would treat myself.
I've just photographed a few of the pages that caught my eye, the first being The New Front Row, I completely and utterly agreed with some of the people placed on this page for example, Rachel Bilson, Sienna Miller, Carine Roitfeld, Clemence Posey and Leighton Meester but then their were some that I was just flabbergasted about... examples being Kerry Katona, Beth Ditto and Pamela Anderson, all people famous for wearing either tracksuits and uggs, neon messes and even barely anything at all.
Hmmmm, I wish I could be there instead of them.
Anyway i've also put up some photographs of some of the spring/summer 2011 collections.
I have to admit it to you all, I'm officially in love with the spring/summer collection by Chloe. It's full of pretty ballet skirts, sheer and whimsical fabrics and a tasteful and gorgeous neutral pallet. Like I say i'm in love.
Also quite like the new Gucci collection, the colours are devine, it's all very focused on embellishment, it's defiantly a rich looking collection.
I'm not going to lie though, I'm so so sorry, but I absolutely hate Prada's spring/summer collection. In my opinion it's garish and brash, even though it's bravely bold with it's intense pallet and clashing colours it just really doesn't work for me. I'm mean bloody hell, have you ever seen so many stripes in your whole life.

Anyway, fashion obsession over... I have reached my 200 followers to day.
I'm so happy with the support I get over my blog. I had a rough patch during september/october due to a serious lack of internet put still you all kept your hopes up and over the past couple months i've gained so many new followers.
Thank you all so much.
I'll do my best to keep you all happy.

If This World Makes You Crazy.

Ermmmm. Plan for the night .. Nando's and cinema !!! Enough said.
I'm in a good mood at the moment, things have been a bit difficult in the flat for the last couple of weeks but i'm being positive and walking around with a cheesey smile on my face as much as I possibly can.
My new motto, positive thinking, when you feel a frown coming on fill it out with a smile.
It seems to be working, I might become a famous philosopher or something.

Oki dokie then, I know this outfit is quite casual lets say, but I don't think that necessarily makes it a bad outfit, as far as a comfy outfit goes I think it looks quite nice, maybe the type of thing you could wear to a festival, or a day out at the park or something. And in these harsh and freezing winters layers are nothing but a good thing.
Yeah, any way, I like it. What do you all think?
Has anything interesting been happening to anyone recently.
I fancy some gossip but hey, fill me in lovely's
Oh and if you have any comments or questions, feel free to comment or formspring me.
I love to hear from you guys.
